Every year, ETON conducts an orientation for parents and it devotes a large chunk of this activity to explaining the Learning Styles concept. The school believes that the parents are the first teachers of their kids and the home is the first classroom. Through collaborative assessment, ETON gathers the necessary information on the learning styles of both students and parents and carefully and comprehensively explains to them the insightful results. Based on the assessment results, the school bridges a healthy discussion between parents and their children on the similarities and differences of their learning behavior. The parents, then, would know how smart their children are, and why are they that smart. In turn, the kids will likewise gain an increase in self-awareness.
